Where is God now?
He is standing right there in the rubble suffering with those who suffer, and weeping with those weep and binding up the hearts of the broken hearted. God is there in the strength of that torn nation’s strong, resilient people. God is there in the presence and efforts of every soldier, aid worker, and other participant working to cope with the initial stages of recovery in this disaster. God is there in the funds donated to aid organizations to individuals around the world. God is there in the prayers and concerns of those individual and others.
This post is stupid. Even the one above it. I mean that’s really heartfelt, jackass.
but that’s a cool story bro, and you could go on about your omnipotent God and all, but don’t you dare say there’s a God in the funds donated to organizations. That’s just spitting in the faces of some of us generous folks, who may I add, aren’t trying to buy their golden ticket to some set of pearly gates. i mean, i’m sure that’s not your reason to attend mass every Sunday, so you could dwell on that fuzzy illusion of doing something extraordinary when it’s over. what am i saying? nobody does that. that would be plain selfish.
If I donate anything, it would simply be because that was my choice. No damn divine intervention took place. I worked for some cash. And I will sacrifice a smoothie or two to donate it to some organization in need. Sheesh. You don’t see me getting in the queue to be a saint.
